Common Questions About Pusoy Hand Rankings

When both players hold a Flush, the winner is the one whose Flush contains the highest individual card. If the highest cards match all the way down, suit order — Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds — decides it.

In standard Pusoy, Ace can serve as the lowest card in an A-2-3-4-5 Straight, sometimes called a wheel. Outside of that specific Straight, Ace is always the highest-ranking card in the deck.

A Straight Flush — five consecutive cards of the same suit — ranks above Four of a Kind in Pusoy. Only a Royal Flush sits higher than a Straight Flush in the full ranking order.

A complete tie is extremely rare because Pusoy uses suit order as the final tiebreaker. Even if two hands share the same category and card values, the suit of the determining card settles the result.

A Flush ranks above a Straight in Pusoy regardless of the face value of the cards. If your opponent held five cards of the same suit, that Flush beats your Straight even if your card numbers look higher.
